Heloisa Hariadne (Brasil, 1998) cria pinturas exuberantes e abundantes de referências e sabores que ela compõe.

Sua criação com cores e texturas faz parte de uma experimentação com sabores e aromas na alimentação. As pinturas dão profundidade às figuras e autonomia para que elas circulem pelas composições. A criação fluida de seres - animais (humanos e outros), frutas, vegetais, plantas - se alimenta também de um aprofundamento sobre como co-habitamos ecossistemas e nos conectamos de diversas formas.

Suas representações são informadas pelas suas experiências e por um entendimento da alimentação como forma de relação. Assim, a prática da artista é integrada à sua vida numa espécie de simbiose. Heloisa diz que “estar presente” em sua própria vida é o que permite que esteja presente na vida de suas obras que, de fato, esbanjam vitalidade.

Em Fevereiro de 2021, eu tive a chance de visitar a artista em seu ateliê, de estar em contato com suas criações e de conhecer mais sobre seu universo criativo por meio de uma entrevista. Os vídeos foram postados inicialmente no instagram do Artinerário e estão disponíveis também no canal do YouTube, legendados em inglês. No primeiro (alí no comecinho do post), é a entrevista principal e o segundo (logo abaixo) foca especificamente nos títulos algumas pinturas para explorar como as obras são concebidas pela artista.

Os títulos vem como um caminho que orienta a criação e, por serem interpretativos, funcionam como portais para se aprofundar na leitura das obras. Falamos sobre essas construções, que ela guarde em seus caderninhos, repletos de reflexões, frases e, como ela diz, “dichavamentos” e “estalos de criação”.

Heloisa Hariadne (b. 1998) is a Brazilian artist who creates paintings that are abundant in references and various flavours she composes.

Her creation with colours and textures is part of a broader experimentation with flavours and aromas in food. The paintings give depth and autonomy to figures so they may circulate through the compositions. The fluid creation of beings - animals (humans and non-human), fruits, vegetables, plans - feeds off a deep research into how we inhabit eco-systems and connect in various ways. Her representations are informed by her experiences and by an understanding of making and eating food as a form of relationship. Thus, her practice and life are integrated in a kind of symbiosis. Heloisa says that “being present” in her own life is what allows for her to be present in the lives of her works - which indeed are overflowing with vitality.

In February 2021, I had the chance to visit the artist in her studio, to be in close contact with her creations and to get to know more about her creative universe through an interview. The video interview was made into two videos, posted on Artinerary's instagram page and are also available on YouTube , both subtitled in English!

The first video (at the start of this post) is the main interview, and the second one was focused on the process of giving titles to specific paintings, which offers insight into how works are conceptualised by the artist.

Titles arise as paths that orient creation and, due to their interpretative character, they function as portals to dive deeper into readings of the artworks. Here, we discuss these constructions, which she keeps in her journals, filled with reflections, phrases and, as she puts it, 'creation sparks' and dichavamentos’ (the process of manually breaking something down)
